MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran and Zilla Parishad chairman Manjusri Jaipal Reddy participated in the Haritha Haram programme in Mandhapuram, Dharmapur and Sangapur villages in Rayikod mandal here on Tuesday.
Rayikod: MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran and Zilla Parishad chairman Manjusri Jaipal Reddy participated in the Haritha Haram programme in Mandhapuram, Dharmapur and Sangapur villages in Rayikod mandal here on Tuesday. Later, they also attended a meeting at agricultural market premises to create awareness among the farmers regarding their issues.
Addressing the farmers, they said, "Farmers should be careful while selecting the crop to avoid losses. They should follow the advice of agricultural officers regarding crop selections."
Furthermore, they said that many farmers left agriculture and migrated to other areas as daily labourers and these conditions should be changed. Everyone should use the facilities given by the government to farmers. ZPTC Mallikarjun Patil, MPP Venkat Rao Patil, Baswaraj Patil, several sarpanches, MPTCs, farmers and others were present on the occasion.
