Talasani Srinivas Yadav gives call to protect nature
Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav distributed prizes and certificates of appreciation to the organisers of eco-friendly Ganesh pandals at a programme organised by Frabss ,a voluntary organisation, at the minister’s residence on Monday.
West Maredpally: Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav distributed prizes and certificates of appreciation to the organisers of eco-friendly Ganesh pandals at a programme organised by Frabss ,a voluntary organisation, at the minister's residence on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated Frabss for creating awareness among people on the importance of preserving environment. He also congratulated it for distributing 300 clay Ganesh idols before the festival to people.
He expressed his dismay at some organisers using Ganesh idols made of Plaster of Paris (POP) and artificial colours despite huge publicity by voluntary organisations and the government against it. Representatives of Frabss and others attended the programme.
