New Delhi: The BJP's chief in Delhi, and party MP, Manoj Tiwari stated that the party would perform much better once results are announced. Tiwari observed that he would prefer to wait for counting of at least five rounds to be over for clear pointers. He also assumed responsibility for the BJP's performance.

The Delhi BJP leader remarked that while exit polls had given BJP 2-8 seats, the party was seen doing well in about 20 seats. Tiwari urged party workers not to be demoralised and to wait for the final results.

At the end of each round, there was a seesaw swing in the fortunes of the BJP. AAP appear to cross the majority mark clearly and is set to retain power in Delhi. AAP, towards the end of the fourth round, seem to be leading in 53 seats, while the BJP was ahead in 17 seats. However, in about 14 seats the margin of leads was under 1000 votes accounting for this swing.

In Kalkaji, for example, the Congress candidate Shivani Chopra seems to have eaten into the AAP candidate Atishi Marlena's vote share, explaining the lead of the BJP candidate Brahm Singh. However the BJP candidate's lead was a slender 11 votes.

Deputy chief Minister and AAP candidate, Manish Sisodia appeared to be facing a tough challenge from his BJP rival Ravi Negi in Patparganj constituency. Similarly, BJP candidate from Hari Nagar, Tajinder Singh Bagga's fortunes swung through the morning with small leads.
