Kala Utsav 2016 starts Today
The most awaited state level cultural competitive program Kala Utsav 2016 is all set to start from Today.
The most awaited state level cultural competitive program Kala Utsav 2016 is all set to start from Today. The two day program is organised by the state school education department at Bishop Grassy high school in the city. The theme of the event is ‘Living traditions of tribal, folk and traditional arts.’
Speaking at a press conference, District Educational Officer (DEO) K Subbareddy stated that over 400 students would take part in the competitions from various schools of 13 districts. Over 50 teachers were allotted to look after the students and the arrangements of accommodation and food have been made for all the candidates.
He also said that the department has made 10 committees constituting 68 members to look after each aspect of the event. The competitions were conducted in four art forms like Music, Dance, Drama and Visual arts. The winners of the Kala Utsav 2016 AP would be selected to Nationals and the winners would be presented prize money of Rs 80,000.
