Kakinada: Rural Deputy Tahsildar Radha Rani on Friday stated that enrolling himself or herself in the voter’s list is a citizen’s basic social responsibility.

She participated as the chief guest at the NSS camp organised by Swami Junior College in Ramanayya Peta. “The electoral system is very crucial for the democracy. The Indian Constitution has given everyone a right to vote,” she informed.

“The youngsters who would cross 18 years of age in January must register their names in the voter list,” she stressed. “All new voters are allowed to bring any certificate which bears their date of birth as a proof.

The NSS volunteers should take part in the voter registration programme and should make the programme a success,” she reiterated.

College Principal Raj Kumar, Adabala Ratna Prasad, VROs Nunna Satya Narayana, Nagendra Kumar and NSS volunteers participated in the camp.
