Special trains to clear festival rush
In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal, the South Central Railway will run special trains via Vijayawada to various destinations.

As many as 16 services will run on Tirupati-Visakhapatnam- Tirupati route. Train No 07487 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Weekly AC Special will depart from Tirupati at 22:30 hrs on 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th January& 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th February (Sunday) and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 10:45 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No 07488 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Weekly AC Special Train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 19:20 hrs on 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th January & 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th February(Monday) and arrive at Tirupati at 08:10 hrs on the next day.
En route, these special trains will stop at Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Duvvada stations in both the directions. These special trains will all have AC III Tier Coaches. Four services will run between Kacheguda and Visakhapatnam.
Train No 07016 Kacheguda - Visakhapatnam special train will depart Kacheguda at 18:45 hrs on 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th February (Tuesday) and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 07:50 hrs the next day. En route, these special trains will stop at Malkajgiri, Cherlapally, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni, Anakapalle and Duvvada stations.
Four services will run between Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. Train No 07479 Visakhapatnam -Tirupati Special Train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 19:05 hrs on 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th February (Wednesday) and arrive at Tirupati at 09:25 hrs the next day.
En route, these special trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur and Renigunta stations. Four services will run between Tirupati and Kacheguda. Train No 07146 Tirupati - Kacheguda special train will depart Tirupati at 17:00 hrs on 8th, 15th, 22nd January & 1st March (Thursday) and arrive at Kacheguda at 06:30 hrs the next day.
En route, these special trains will stop at Renigunta, Srikalahasti, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Madhira, Khammam, Mahbubabad, Warangal, Kazipet and Jangaon stations.
Four more special services will run between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Train No 07148 Hyderabad- Visakhapatnam Special Train will depart Hyderabad at 17:45 hrs on 10th & 12th Januaryand arrive Visakhapatnam at 08:15 hrs the next day.
In the return direction, Train No 07147 Visakhapatnam- Hyderabad Special Train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 18:50 hrs on 11th & 13th January and arrive at Hyderabad at 09:45 hrs next day.
En route, these Weekly Special trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda and Secunderabad stations in both directions.
