MLA funds relief to fire accident victims

Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana distributed cheques to the victims of a fire accident in his office here. He handed over cheques for Rs 25,000 to the families whose houses were gutted in Journalists Colony on December 12. With the initiative of the MLA, the officials sanctioned the compensation.

The houses of M Raja Kumari, N Latha, D Ganga, L Satyavathi and M Krishnaveni were reduced to ashes in the fire mishap.
Later, the MLA visited the spot and recommended to the officials to sanction compensation to the victims who lost all their property in the mishap. The victims thanked the MLA for keeping his word. Urban Tahsildar M Rajeswara Rao, corporators B Srihari, Medapati Sharmila Reddy and BJP leaders were present.
