Participating in NTR's 22nd Vardhanthi programme, held near paper mill here on Thursday, the MP said that NTR was a glaring example for honesty and simplicity in politics and everyone should emulate the great leader. He introduced many schemes for the benefit of the people, the MP said.

Former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao had founded Telugu Desam Party which elevated the self-respect of Telugu speaking people and underlined the need to follow his guidelines.

Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary said that many welfare schemes were introduced during NTR’s regime which were well received by the people. He strived for the welfare of poor people. Rural areas were developed during his regime, the MLA added.

Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna said the TDP came into existence for overall development of the state and NTR proved the stamina of Telugu people to the then Central government. He brought many reforms during his tenure, which changed the state in all fronts.

MLC Adireddy Appa Rao said everyone should emulate NTR, who was also a torchbearer of the state and he was the leader who also elevated himself at national-level also and directed national politics. Earlier, TDP leaders garlanded the stattue of NTR at Kotipalli bus station, followed by blood donation camp and clothes distribution.
