Aqua Devils Welfare Association (ADWA) will organise a swimming competition in Krishna River on January 28, to mark the Republic Day celebrations. The ADWA president, KS Ramachandra Rao said that the organisation was holding swimming competitions in the Krishna for the past 18 years.
Vijayawada: Aqua Devils Welfare Association (ADWA) will organise a swimming competition in Krishna River on January 28, to mark the Republic Day celebrations. The ADWA president, KS Ramachandra Rao said that the organisation was holding swimming competitions in the Krishna for the past 18 years.
The competition would start at 6 am on January 28 from Durga Ghat to southern side of River Krishna, Lotus Food City. The competition was open for all from the age of 5 years and above.
Prizes will be given to the winners, and all the participants would get participation certificates,” informed the representative. Interested participants may register their names with 2 passport size photographs and age proof by paying Rs 200 registration fee.
About 30 boats with experienced swimmers, life jackets, plastic ropes, and medical aid would be deployed in the River Krishna for safety of the participants. Participants can contact YV Ramesh Kumar on 9848121566 and 9885072424 for further information.
