The district collector V Vinaychand said that the government has taken up several initiatives for rapid development of the Prakasam district. On the occasion of 69th Republic Day, he hoisted flag at police parade grounds, here on Friday.

He explained people about development and welfare measures being implemented by the state government schemes. Various departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Water Supply, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Education, Sarvasiksha Abhayan, District Water Management, Rural Development, SC and ST Corporation, Medical and Health, District Youth Affairs and BC Corporation, displayed Tableaux explaining about the development and welfare activities being taken up by them.
