Ranga Reddy Team Wins 1st Prize In Football Tourney. The team from Ranga Reddy district won the first prize in the state-level football tournament that concluded here on Tuesday.
Mancherial (Adilabad): The team from Ranga Reddy district won the first prize in the state-level football tournament that concluded here on Tuesday.
The competitions commenced two days ago at Tagore Stadium at Ramakrishnapur. The matches were also held at Mancherial and Srirampur grounds. Altogether 21 teams from 21 districts participated in the competitions which were held on knockout basis.
Team from Visakhapatnam stood as runner-up while the team from Adilabad stood in third place.
MLC Venkat Rao and Singareni General Manager (for Mandamarri area) Venkatramaiah participated in the concluding programme and presented the prizes to the winners.
They expressed happiness over the conduct of games in the area. They congratulated the organisers of the competitions for their success.
A team of 22 players from different districts who excelled in the competitions were also selected on the occasion to represent the state at Santhosh Trophy football tournament. Tournament organisers Sitaramaiah, Eswarachary, Raghunatha Reddy and others were present at the concluding programme.
