While Rs 3 lakh has been released from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Rs 2.25 lakh is contributed by the Labour department. The victims---Selagala Pentamma, Karri Rajulamma and Botta Ramakumari—belonged to Kollavalasa village. Selagala Nagaraju, who sustained injuries, received a cheque for Rs.75,000.

Addressing the gathering, Ravikumar stated that a special drive should be taken up to enroll the children of those belonging to the migrant Yadava community for banishing their illiteracy. For this purpose the children should be admitted in hostels.

District Collector Dr Gaurav Uppal while describing the Tiruvallur accident as ‘unfortunate’ said children of the Yadava community migrants would be enrolled in schools under a special drive.

The administration would submit a report to the government on the migration of the poor from the district in search of livelihood.
Pirukatla Viswaprasad, MLC, said there would not be any hindrance in imparting education to such children. District Revenue Officer Noor Basha Kasim and Administrative Officer in the Collectorate M Kaliprasad were among those present.
