Hyderabad: It appears that the TDP leaders not only require a workshop on the policies and programmes of the government but also a training class on the need for improving knowledge of legislators.

TDP legislators at the one-day workshop organised at NTR Trust Bhavan on Thursday, including senior Ministers, seem to be thinking that it is the responsibility of the Chief Minister to do what he likes. While Naidu displayed his enthusiasm in explaining how he proposes to implement the programmes to develop the truncated State of Andhra Pradesh, several leaders including some Ministers who were on the dais chose to doze off.

While Naidu asked the staff to dim the lights and was explaining how he proposes to accelerate the development of the State through a power point presentation and how his government would create a five-grid future course of action, his cabinet colleague and Panchayat Raj Minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, who was on the dais, dozed off.

Some other Ministers were also seen trying hard to keep their eyes wide open. Interestingly, the Deputy CM N Chinarajappa was the only Minister found jotting down points from the presentation. While the CM was sounding a word of caution that people would not hesitate to dump them if they don’t work for the people, the participants sitting at the back were found yawning in response. Leaving in mid-presentation, some of the senior leaders and former ministers were seen talking on their mobile phones while others chose to loiter in the lobbies of the NTR Trust Bhavan.
