AP Govt land to Jaggi Vasudeva's Isha Foundation near Vijayawada irks CPI

CPI has launched an agitation against the Andhra Pradesh government's decision to grant 400 acres of forest land to the Isha foundation of Jaggi Vasudeva.

CPI AP state Ramakrishna toured the Trilochanapuram mandalam of Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada chosen for grant to Isha Foundation. Participating in a protest dharna held in the region, he said why should a Yoga guru need 400 acres of forest land?

He said the government took months to grant pattas and other welfare incentives to poor and landless, but the grant of land to Yoga guru took less than 45 days. We all know that the Yoga guru had conducted a three-day meditation and yoga classes for AP ministers, IAS officers and others.
