Sidda Raghava Rao Ongole: Roads and Buildings and Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao announced that the government had decided to allot 5,000 acres to a company from China in the proposed Donakonda industrial corridor. He said that the companies from Hong Kong and Singapore are also interested in investing in the industrial corridors proposed in the State.

The Minister, who participated in the Mee Intiki-Mee Bhoomi programme, at Marella village of Mundlamuru mandal on Wednesday, asked the villagers to make best use of services under the programme. He said that the Darsi-Donakonda and Podili-Kanigiri-Pamur-Ramayapatnam routes can be widened into four-lane roads this year for increasing the connectivity.

He promised to upgrade all roads in the Darsi constituency into cement roads during his tenure. The representatives of various companies from China, Japan and Singapore had already visited the proposed industrial corridor in the district and were briefed about the support they can get from the government.

In July, Mathew Abbott, General Manager of Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co. Ltd, China, visited the government lands in the proposed Donakonda industrial corridor, along with the APIIC MD K V Satyanarayana.Abbott expressed satisfaction over the extent of land in Donakonda and promised to setup their factory there.
