Participating in the third phase of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme held in 37th division here on Thursday, he said a 6 MW power generation plant based on solid waste will be set up in the city.

Participating in the third phase of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme held in 37th division here on Thursday, he said a 6 MW power generation plant based on solid waste will be set up in the city.

The Chief Minister stated that Rs 22 crore will be allocated for improving basic infrastructure in the city from the funds sanctioned to the State by the 13th Finance Commission. He further said Rs 15.17 crore under SC,ST Sub-Plan is earmarked for the development of SC and ST colonies in the city. This apart, Rs 78.25 crore under AMRUT for augmentation of drinking water supply., Rs 21.51 crore bank linkage loans to SHG women groups will be sanctioned under Chandranna Cheyutha scheme for taking up income generation activities and Rs 2.73 crore for development of parks in the city.

The Chief Minister also visited the health camp organised under NTR Vaidya Seva by Sai Sudha Hospitals in 37th division. He lauded hospital chairman R Sudharani for her social service under NTR Vaidya Seva. He also presented glasses to the patients, who were examined in the health camp. Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, Minister for Forests and Environment Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, MP N Sivaprasad, MLA M Suguna, Collector Siddharth Jain, Municipal Commissioner V Vinay Chand and others officials were also present.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to include all aspects like health, education, tourism, transport, national highways, port and airport for developing Tirupati as a mega smart city. Naidu held a meeting with district and TTD officials on Thursday, before his departure from here. He directed the revenue officials to hand over all the tanks in and around Tirupati to the TTD for developing them. He said that the State government is keen on developing tri-city industrial corridor between Tirupati-Nellore and Chennai and also tri-temple city linkage between Tirumala, Tirupati and Srikalahasti. He also sought the officials to give priority for development of sports and promotion of spiritualism. TTD Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao, District Collector Siddharth Jain and other officials were present.
