Drivers trained on fire safety
Transport department of the West Godavari district conducted an awareness programme to school bus drivers at Fire Station Centre, here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, motor vehicle inspector T Jayapal Reddy suggested the drivers be on alert while driving.
Eluru: Transport department of the West Godavari district conducted an awareness programme to school bus drivers at Fire Station Centre, here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, motor vehicle inspector T Jayapal Reddy suggested the drivers be on alert while driving.
Advising them not to overtake any vehicle while the bus loaded with school children, Reddy asked the drivers to be cautioned as lives are children are in their hands. The motor vehicle inspector directed the bus drivers and owners to equip the bus with first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
Stating that the buses have to be in condition, he asked the school managements to make all necessary repairs before the commencement of the academic year. As a part of the awareness programme, fire personnel exhibited on how to extinguish the fire in case of an accident. KSL Prasad and bus drivers participated in the programme.
