Srikakulam: The NDA government at the Centre and TDP government in the State are neglecting workers by protecting the industrialists’ interests, charged CITU State general secretary M A Gafoor.
He delivered a keynote address at CITU 9th district-level meeting here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Gafoor found fault with both the governments for attempting to amend labour laws in favour of industrialists.
CITU State vice-president Ch Narasinga Rao criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his unilateral approach by neglecting the poor and working class. He demanded the cancellation of proposed nuclear power plant at Kovvada and suggested to start alternative energy generation plants like solar and wind. APNGOs association district president H Sairam, CITU district president M Tirupathi Rao, general secretary Duppala Govinda Rao demanded the Chief Minster to fulfil poll promises.
