The Minister, who is on a two-day visit, to the national capital, on Friday met the Union Health Minister J P Nadda and said that the people of the State have been waiting for long to realise the dream of completion of AIIMS project in Andhra Pradesh.

New Delhi: Medical and Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas asked the Centre to release funds to take up construction works of the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the State.

The Minister, who is on a two-day visit, to the national capital, on Friday met the Union Health Minister J P Nadda and said that the people of the State have been waiting for long to realise the dream of completion of AIIMS project in Andhra Pradesh.

Kamineni also requested the Union Health Minister to facilitate for the upgradation of government medical colleges in the State under phase III of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and also sought the Centre’s assistance in establishing a regional virology lab at Guntur and permission for start a level-one trauma care centre in Nellore.
