The Collector stressed on the need for identifying innate talents in the students so that teachers can encourage them to excel in the field of their choice.  

Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju exhorted teachers to play a crucial role in shaping students as good citizens of the country. He addressed a gathering at a programme organised in Kasturba Gardens here on Wednesday, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day celebrations.

The Collector stressed on the need for identifying innate talents in the students so that teachers can encourage them to excel in the field of their choice.

ZP Chairman B Raghavendra Reddy said majority children studying in government schools are subsequently joining private colleges in Intermediate. He made an appeal for abolishing Board of Intermediate Education and make intermediate education as part of the secondary education.

MLC Vithapu Balasubrahmanyam said teachers are responsible for bright future of students. He called for common education system. Mayor Aziz also spoke. 53 teachers were presented with awards. DEO M Ramalingam and others were present.
