He said Krishnapatnam port always takes initiatives for the betterment of the society and the community, along with the development of the port.

The event began with the guard of honour by the KSSPL guards to the Minister who later planted a sapling under the Vanam-Manam initiative of the port. This was followed by the inauguration of another innovative process at the port under the Ease of Doing Business (EDB) initiative, named the e-VMS (e- Visitor Management System).

The new e-VMS will ensure a safe and hassle–free entry process for the visitors to the port. Through this system, all delegates and visitors can be rest assured to be given visitor permits in a jiffy, as all the required information like the identity proofs and the purpose of the visits, would be stored in the database of the system, thus making the Port easily accessible and also user friendly to the Port users.

Jitendra Singh visited the facilities at the port like central kitchen, schools, dental clinic, skilling academy and the port infrastructure.

He was impressed by the development and the initiatives, the port was taking towards economic growth and development of the region and its people. MD of the Port C Sasidhar and CEO Anil Yendluri and others were present.
