CP assures to continue people-friendly policing

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Police Commissioner (CP) D Gautam Sawang said on Wednesday the city police have proved that people-
friendly policing is possible by doing excellent work in Krishna Pushkaralu.

He assured that i t would be continued in future. He expressed happiness over the role of p rint and e lectronic m edia in their support
to police and as well as government for conducting Pushkaralu.

During an interaction with media here, CP said the media role was very crucial in many occasions. CP appealed to m edia persons to
think positively. He said that he was ready to work with media on occasions like Krishna Pushkaralu.

Sawang welcomed criticism from print and electronic media. He said it would help his department to correct the wrong actions.

CP lauded Vijayawada media saying that he had felt comfortable with Vijayawada media and recalled that when he posted to Vijayawada
some others told that Vijayawada media was very dangerous.

Later, the CP had presented mementos and distributed appreciation certificates to scribes and lensmen for their role in successful
conducting Pushkaralu.

Joint Police Commissioner (JCP) P Hari Kumar and education counselor Dr MC Das were presented in the meeting.
