Visakhapatnam: One more complaint has been lodged against former Director (Personnel) RINL GBS Prasad who retired in December last year.
A resident of Vadlapudi Rehabilitation Housing Colony Siriki Appala Naidu in his complaint to the Commissioner of Police said Prasad had collected Rs 5 lakh (Rs 4.48 in the form of demand draft and Rs 50,000 in cash) through his associate U Vijay Bhaskar promising employment.
Appala Naidu, who works as a security guard in NAD, met Prasad and sought employment for his brother-in-law Yadla Jaggu Naidu, who qualified in ITI and his wife Hemavathi who passed Intermediate.
Prasad promised Naidu that he would provide jobs in a school under RINL management for which he was the chairman. He also promised Naidu security guard job in the school and allot them steel plant quarters.
Naidu said Prasad demanded Rs 8 lakh for three jobs but settled down for Rs 6 lakh of which he sought Rs 5 lakh in advance and Rs 1 lakh after getting jobs.
He wanted two demand drafts in the name of a company which provided lift to his apartment. Naidu took two demand drafts from SBI, Kurmannapalem branch for Rs 2.83 lakh each on May 21, 2015 and September 29, 2015.
Prasad and Vijay Bhaskar dodged all along continuously promising the three jobs but it was never fulfilled, Naidu told the Commissioner in his complaint requesting for a criminal case against them.
Another complaint was lodged against the former director and Vijay Bhaskar on June 5 by some people whom he owed money.The Commissioner handed over the case to deputy commissioner of police Gajuwaka for investigation.
