According to sources, P Gopala Rao (25) working with a poultry farm in Nellimarla mandal died under suspicious circumstances.

Relatives and locals demanded that the management of the poultry farm render justice to the family of the deceased. They put the body on the national highway and staged a dharna. On receiving information, Inspector Raghuveer Vishnu rushed to the spot and tried to clear the traffic.

Meanwhile, locals raised slogan against police. In turn, the CI assumed that sarpanch of Chintalavalasa P Tammi Naidu was behind the protest and slapped him. In retaliation, the locals tried to bash up the CI but other police personnel intervened and pacified the angry mob.
