The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) predicted that heavy rains are likely to hit isolated places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the next two days with the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) even issuing a 24-hour warning for coastal Andhra Pradesh.

As per IMD, a low-pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the low pressure formed over the west central Bay of Bengal off the South Odisha Coast area extends up to 7.6 kilometres above the mean sea level. The prediction states that the low-pressure region could result in heavy rains likely to occur at isolated places in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Krishna, Guntur, East and West Godavari, districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh on Friday and Saturday. A warning regarding the possibility of strong surface winds from the westerly direction, with speed reaching 45 to 50 km/h has been issued along and off coastal AP.

During the next 24 hours, conditions are expected to be rough and fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. On the other hand, Telangana will receive scattered rains in places such as Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar. Hyderabad is expected to receive heavy showers until July 23.
