Chittoor: Guru Purnima celebrated across the district on Friday with pomp and gaiety. Devotees of Sadguru Sai Baba thronged the temples in the early hours of Friday and offered prayers.
Speaking to The Hans India, O Ramdass, managing trustee of the Shirdi Sai Mandir at Industrial Estate here has expressed his happiness for organising the festival with the blessings of Sai Baba.
Meanwhile, the organisers of all Sai Baba mandirs in the city have decided to close the temples from 11 pm onwards due to Lunar eclipse. In Tirupati also, the festival celebrated with religious fervour.
