Judge T Raja Venkatadri meets mentally ill Patients

Ongole: The discrimination against mentally retorted people is a heinous act and also a crime, said T Raja Venkatadri, the senior civil judge and secretary of the District Legal Services Authority.
Raja Venkatadri visited the Siri Research and Rehabilitation Center on Friday and inspected the facilities and methods of treatment for the mentally ill patients in the hospital.
He said that several advanced methods of treatment are being used in the treatment of the mentally ill people and asked the doctors to implement the best methods for making the patients recover soon.
He said that the mentally ill patients have few acts like Mental Health Act, in support of them and they are providing awareness on the acts and regularly.
He said that the DLSA also provides services for the mentally ill patients and he advised the guardians of the patients to utilize them.
Dr Sridevi, doctor in the Siri Research and Rehabilitation Center assured the judge that they were providing the best care to the patients in the hospital.
