Guntur: District Education Officer RS Ganga Bhavani has said that she will take stern action against government or aided schools if they collect money from the students.
She said that in some schools, fee is being collected from the students. She ordered an inquiry into fee collection with deputy education officers.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, she said that they had identified 18 schools for which there was no permission.
She said virtual classrooms would be set up in another 310 schools in the district. After starting English medium, strength in government schools in the district had increased.
Digital classrooms would be set up in 280 schools in the district. She said that they have prepared a plan to teach reading and writing skills to the students.
She said that it was responsibility of the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan to supply uniform to the students.
