Tirupati: The Central Crime Station (CCS) cops arrested a person for posing as a fake reporter and cheating pilgrims and unemployed by collecting Rs 50 lakh from them. According to CCS DSP Ravi Sankar Reddy, the accused Prasad Reddy (37) had worked as an office boy in local news channel offices for few years in Tirumala.

He was removed from the job on the charges of corruption. The DSP said Prasad had created a fake media identity card and started deceiving the pilgrims by assuring to provide quick darshan. Similarly, the accused also cheated five unemployed by promising to provide jobs in railways and TTD. A case was registered based on the complaint of victims.
