Guntur: Guntur rural police rescued four minors, including three boys and a girl from the kidnappers, and recovered Rs 5.5 lakh worth gold and a motor bike from them at Aduru village in East Godavari district on Thursday.

According to Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu, a six-year-old boy Nakka Samuel was kidnapped at Intur village on July 28 this year. Based on a complaint, police team led by Tenali DSP Snehita launched a man-hunt to nab the accused.

Meanwhile, the accused Mutyalu, Santha, Yedukondalu, Kondamma and Lakshmi Nagullanka tried to escape when they noticed the police team. Immediately, police took them into their custody.

Based on information, the police personnel went to Aduru village in East Godavari district and rescued four minors, including a girl. Police found injuries on the children bodies.

Police recovered 196 grams gold and a motor bike from the accused who were involved in theft cases. Police are searching for the prime accused in the case. Later, police produced the accused before the media in Guntur.
