Vijayawada: About 780 candidates participated in the mega job fair jointly organised by the Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA) and the Vikas Group of Educational Institutions at Vikas College in Nunna near here on Tuesday.
Graduates, post-graduates and professionally qualified candidates attended the job fair.
APITA was organising this kind of job fairs to create jobs through Look for Employees in Andhra Pradesh (LEAP).
Reputed companies like Tech Mahindra, Efftroncis, Apollo Pharma and 23 other companies participated in the job fair.
Vikas educational institutions secretary and correspondent Naredla Satyanarayana Reddy inaugurated the mega job fair.
Most of the companies had conducted written test, interviews and selected the candidates.
Some companies directly recruited the suitable candidates based on merit, he added.
Vikas Engineering College principals Dr Ramana and Dr Rammohana Rao, placement cell in-charge Kishore and others were present.
