Visakhapatnam: The officials of Regional Outreach Communication Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Eastern Naval Command (ENC) launched a signature campaign at TU-142 Museum on the Beach Road in support of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Sharan Mathur and ENC officials inaugurated the campaign here on Saturday.

Rear Adm Deepak Kapoor Chief Staff Officer (Personnel and Administration) ENC inaugurated an exhibition organised to showcase naval prowess and valour of Armed Forces at TU Aircraft Museum on Friday.

The exhibition is being organised as a part of ‘Parakram Parv’ being observed from September 28 to September 30 across the nation to commemorate the second anniversary of Surgical Strike.

Visitors of the exhibition also witnessed an enthralling performance by the ENC Band. Schools children were taken on a guided tour on INS Kirch as part of the celebrations.

The exhibition has stall rigged up by various naval units showcasing weapons, equipment and scale down models of ships, submarine and aircraft.

Videos depicting military and naval operations are also being streamed in the exhibition.

The exhibition will remain open for public viewing on Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday.

Schoolchildren and cadets from NCC and SCC visit Naval Ships on on the occasion of ‘Parakram Parv’.

The exhibition aims to motivate the young minds befitting the occasion and encourage the youth to choose armed forces as their career.

A large number of students from Navy Children School, cadets from NCC and SCC visited INS Kirch, Missile Corvette, and INS Kadmatt, Anti-Submarine Corvette of the Eastern Fleet.

The young visitors were taken on a guided tour of the ships. The children were quite enthusiastic about the visit to the ship and inquisitive on naval operations and life onboard ships.
