Nellore: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Dr P Anil Kumar demanded action against unauthorised colleges owned by the Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, Anil Kumar alleged that out of 18 junior colleges across the district, 8 residential junior colleges have no permission from the Intermediate Board.
Despite the local regional inspection officer had given a report, the government is yet to take action in this regard.
Recalling that the officials have been imposing huge penalties on small traders for running enterprises, he said the state government was allowing these colleges without permission as they were owned by the Minister.
As per rule book, the MLA said a lecturer working in a college should not teach in another college.
But, he charged that teachers of Narayana institutions are not following such guidelines.
The MLA said HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has no ethics to take action against these irregularities.
He stated Narayana Institutions have failed to appoint psychiatrists to prevent suicides in colleges.
