Inaugurating a lucky dip for ‘Housing for All’ at Atmakur on Sunday, he described the housing programme for the town as a boon and added the tiny village has gradually been developing as an important centre in the western part of the district.
Following a request from Muslims for sanction of Shadi Manzil in the town, he said the state government had accorded Rs 2.50 crore and the municipal corporation had released a matching grant of Rs 70 lakh for the structure.
He praised that the houses constructed in the town were very beautiful as the Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana had shown keen interest on the project. He said the beneficiary would get Rs 3 lakh subsidy and the premises would be getting community hall, roads and other amenities.
