Fire in factory sparks panic at Tundurru village

The villagers had already brought to the notice of the authorities the pollution of water sources, including drinking water because of the presence of the factory amid villages.
The struggle committee has been opposing the factory citing polluted drinking water from Gonteru drain.
The industrial effluents from the aqua processing factory had damaged ground water also, they alleged.
Even as the villagers opposing the factory, fire accident in the factory with explosion and billowing smoke caused panic.
The villagers watched the situation by staying awake all the night.
The fire tenders rushed and brought the fire under control.
However, the details of loss to property are not available.
