It is a fact that, the politics of AP, turned murky and muddy long before( AP politics turns murky much ahead of polls, Hans India, Oct 26) when, much proclaimed poll promise of special category status was insensitively given up, against the will of the people and “special package” , was advocated for four and a half years by the TDP- BJP combine from 2014 to 2018, without ever releasing a single pie for the development of the people in AP.

In the year 2018, the politics of AP, got murkier and took sudden U-turn, and the people of AP witnessed tragic end of the grand alliance between BJP and TDP, and beginning of new romance of TDP with INC. These two parties have become neo converts to SCS, and jealously started singing the song of special category status to the people of AP. Now, with the murder attempt on the LOP, the politics of AP, have become “blood -stained” and it is highly sinister thing to happen in a state like AP. The reaction of top guns in the government, on the murder attempt , calling it a drama to gain sympathy was highly insensitive and in bad taste.

The haste with which the learned police officer has issued a judgement on the incident, swiftly with in half an hour of the occurrence of the gory incident at the airport, has disappointed the people in the state. Having said that, the long arm of the law, should realize that they should work in accordance with the rule book, with out any fear or favour, so that the people who have immense faith in the police are not let down. Hope better sense will prevail among all the chief political parties concerned in AP in the days to come and the politics will be healthy and democratic in the larger interest of the people of the state and the Nation.
