Madakasira (Anantapur): District Collector Veera Pandian has directed officials of Water Resources Department to complete HNSS Canal works for bringing Krishna water to Madakasira from the Jeedipalle reservoir.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Collector said that he had inspected the HNSS works in Hindupur and Madakasira and directed the contractors and engineers to complete works by the end of November.
He asked Tahsildars to send progress reports with pictures every day and apprise him of the developments on a day-to-day basis through WhatsApp. He also asked officials to fill the tanks with Krishna waters as they would take care of drinking water requirements of Madakasira population.
The Collector exuded confidence that with the advent of Krishna waters, all bores will be recharged and the area would turn fertile.
Chief Engineer Jalandhar, Superintendent Engineer Nagaraju, executive engineers Narayana Naik and Mallikarjun Reddy were present.
