Vijayawada: Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan lambasted Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleging that the Chief Minister was not taking measures to check illegal bauxite mining in the Agency areas of the State. He said illegal mining worth hundreds of crores is taking place in the State but the Chief Minister is silent on the issue.

Addressing the media at the party office here on Saturday, Pawan Kalyan said if Jana Sena is voted to power in the next elections, it will stop illegal mining in the Agency areas of the State. He said both Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son IT Minister Nara Lokesh are aware of the illegal mining. He alleged that the present TDP government is continuing the same mistakes which were committed by the previous Congress government.

He said that Jana Sena would stand by the people and safeguard the environment for the sake of next generation. He recalled that the JSP supported TDP in the past in view of the development of the State and the people. But the TDP has failed miserably to solve the problems of the people, he said. Congress leader joins Jana Sena Party: Congress leader and former minister Pasupuleti Balaraju joined the Jana Sena Party in the presence of Pawan Kalyan at the party office. Pawan Kalyan welcomed the former Minister saying that Balaraju would be a big asset to the party.

Speaking to the media, Balaraju said he was impressed with the ideology of Pawan Kalyan and joined the party and announced that he would work as per the objectives and goals of the party. With a view on the forthcoming elections, political leaders are changing the parties in the State. Earlier, former State Assembly Speaker and senior Congress leader Nadendla Manohar joined the Jana Sena.
