Visakhapatnam: The Visakha Urban Development Authority (VUDA) MGM ground in the city turned as battle ground for the pet trainers and owners while showcasing their dogs’ talent during the Vizag Canine Dog show here on Sunday.
Over 500 entries were registered for the dog show and the trainers had showcased their pets walking skills on the ramp with confidence. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, American Bullies, Chow Chows, Dashhund Miniature Smooth, Beagles, Miniature Pinscher, Pugs, Doberman and Pomeranian's, among other 40 breeds added attraction for Dog Show. Some of the best dogs returned home with prizes.
The show was inaugurated by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Canine specialist and Visakha Canine Welfare Association president P Somulu said that every year the participation of pet dogs was increasing with new breed dogs and in the coming days Vizag may become best spot for breed dogs and give tough competition with Hyderabad, Chennai, Banglore and other states pet trainers, he added.
