Guntur: AP Non-Resident Telugus in association with Rotary Club on Thursday launched an innovative programme for collecting waste plastic bottles and plastic covers with the designed plastic trash sticks by the school students under Clean Care Programme under the supervision of AP NRT at Swarnandhra Nagar in Guntur city on Thursday.
Speaking on this occasion, APNRT chairman Vemuru Ravi said that initially they have selected Patibandla Seetharamaiah High School to create awareness among the students and how to use trash sticks and collect plastic bottles and waste.
Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao stressed the need to keep surroundings clean and felt that there was need to conduct such programmes.
