Human Rights Day celebrated
The 70th Human Rights Day was celebrated by the Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute here on Sunday. Sri Venkateswara University Rector Prof M Bhaskar graced the occasion as the chief guest. Sri Krishnadevaraya University’s Head of the Department of Law Prof SV Pulla Reddy was the guest of honour.
Tirupati: The 70th Human Rights Day was celebrated by the Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute here on Sunday. Sri Venkateswara University Rector Prof M Bhaskar graced the occasion as the chief guest. Sri Krishnadevaraya University’s Head of the Department of Law Prof SV Pulla Reddy was the guest of honour.
Prof Bhaskar laid emphasis on protecting human rights and asked students to sensitise people on human rights to usher changes in society. SV Pulla Reddy highlighted the gap between practicing and preaching the human rights. President of the Global Law Institute Dr Aduri Saradamma presided. Chairman of the College Dr Thippa Reddy delivered the inaugural address.
Principal of the college Dr P Mohan Rao highlighted the gross violation of the human rights especially at the time of war. Prizes were given away to winners of various competitions held on the occasion. Assistant professor in law P Balaji proposed a vote of thanks.
