People briefed on govt schemes

Kakinada: Awareness was created among participants on the government welfare schemes at Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme conducted here on Thursday.

While the programme was conducted in division Nos 47, 49 and 50 in morning session, it was conducted at 42 and 48th divisions in the afternoon session. As part of this programme, Rangoli competitions, medical camps were organised.

Mayor S Pavani and Kakinada Rural MLA P Anantalakshmi attended as guests. A Janmabhoomi pledge was solemnized with participants in the programme. School children performed various cultural programmes.
