`5 lakh donated to Pulwama martyrs’ families in Guntur

Guntur: RVR&JC Engineering College management here on Saturday donated Rs 5 lakh to extend helping hand to the CRPF Jawans who died in the terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14.
While, the college students and lecturers collected Rs 2.5 lakh, the management gave Rs 2.5 lakh.
The college president Dr Rayapati Srinivas handed over Rs 5 lakh donation to District Collector Kona Sasidhar at Collectorate in Guntur city on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that if one person donates, others will draw inspiration and donate liberally.
The District Collector said there was need to extend helping hand to the kin of the CRPF jawans who died in the Pulwama sector.
He further said that donations will inspire others to donate something for good cause.
RVR&JC Engineering College secretary Rayapati Gopala Krishna, treasurer Kondabolu Krishna Prasad were among those participated.
