Vijayawada: SpiceJet, one of the biggest airlines in the country, will operate Vijayawada-Kochi flight services from March 1. The new services will connect the two cities via temple town Tirupati.
With launching of Vijayawada-Kochi services, Vijayawada airport will get air connectivity to all South Indian States. According to a senior official of the Airports Authority of India, all arrangements have been made for the launching of services on March 1.
The 78-seat flight will start at Kochi at 9.10 am and will arrive at Tirupati at 10.40 am. It will depart at 11.10 am from Tirupati Airport and will reach Vijayawada Airport at 12.25 pm.
In the return journey, the flight will start at 5 pm and reach Tirupati at 6.05 pm. It will depart Tirupati at 6.25 pm and reach Kochi at 7.40 pm. Kochi international Airport has excellent connectivity to Gulf countries. Passengers who want to travel to Gulf countries can travel via Kochi due to availability of flights to Dubai, Abudhabi, Jeddah, Riyad, Sharjah and Doha etc.
