Pawan to visit Nellore district today

Nellore: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be touring in the district on Monday. In his previous visit to the city, he only confined to felicitate his teachers, interact with his childhood friends with limited interaction.

Pawan Kalyan was brought up in city many years ago and is having direct contacts with local people. His father Venkata Rao also worked here in Excise Department about 30 years ago and there is a building in Tekkemitta area which is popular as Chiranjeevi Apartments.

After floating the party, Pawan visited the city and met his teachers, friends and others. He invited senior Congress leader Madasu Gangadharam into the party as coordinator.

Now, former Congress activist K Vinod Reddy is planning to contest from the city constituency and Chennareddy Manukranth Reddy plans to contest from Nellore Rural constituency. A five-member committee was also formed for identifying the potential candidates for ensuing polls. There are many Kapus in the district and also in the city.

Pawan has already been in touch with the local leaders. There are several hundreds of student-turned-followers who regularly watch developments in the party. Party cadres and his fans are also eagerly waiting for his visit. The tour includes roadshows in Nellore city and public meeting in Kavali constituency in the evening.
