Hero MotoCorp, the country's largest two-wheeler maker, will launch two new scooters in India during the festive season. This information was revealed by Hero MotoCorp's Senior Vice President and CFO Ravi Sud during a recent interview with PTI. Though he didn't reveal the names of the scooters, we expect them to be the Hero Dare 125 and Dash 110 - both of which were showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

Since Hero MotoCorp had already commenced the Dash 110's production in March, 2015 at its Gurgaon-based facility, we expect it to be launched before the Dare 125cc. Powering the Dash will be a new 111cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that churns out 8.5bhp and 9.4Nm. The Dash will come with several exciting features such as a USB mobile charger, boot light, LED tail-lamps, key with e-code boot lid, analogue digital metre and dual tone mirrors among others.

The 110cc scooter will also get al all new metal body and alloys with tubeless tyres. Upon its launch the Hero Dash will rival Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Mahindra Gusto, Suzuki Lets and other scooters in the 110cc space. Coming to the Dare, it will be the company's first ever 125cc scooter. Powered by a 124.6cc force air-cooled engine (9.38bhp, 9.8Nm), the Dare will lock horns with the Honda Activa 125.

The 125cc scooter looks aggressive with features such as dual-tone alloys, LED tail-lamps, boot lamps, body-coloured brake calipers, texture seats, etc. Other features are digital console, dual-tone body and tubeless tyres. While the Dare and Dash will be launched during the festive season, Hero MotoCorp's ZIR 150cc and Leap Hybrid scooters are expected to hit showrooms by the end of this year or early 2016.
