Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), India’s largest passenger car exporter has officially announced the addition of three new variants – the Anniversary Edition, the Diesel SX+ Automatic and the Executive version (E+) -- to its Creta lineup. In another record breaking moment, Hyundai sold the highest number of Cretas in a month -- 13,000 units. Since its launch a year back in July, the stylish SUV has been churning consistent numbers for the Korean carmaker. Up until now, 1.25 lakh Cretas have been sold.
On the introduction of new variants, Rakesh Srivastava, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, HMIL, said, “We would like to take this opportunity and express our gratitude to the customers who have shown trust in The Perfect SUV - Creta. As India’s most loved auto manufacturer, we are committed to bring best-in-class, modern and premium products for our aspirational customers. The introduction of three variants will add more value to the overall buying experience for customers.”
Speaking of the added features in the Anniversary Edition, it gets dual tone exteriors with glossy black roof along with C-pillar and integrated spoiler, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and many others. However, a couple of days back, the prices and features of the same were revealed. You can have a look at them here (link).
Apart from this, the Creta will now be available in a diesel automatic avatar. A 6-speed automatic transmission will be linked to the 1.6-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine. It’s certainly a good news for all those buyers wanting a diesel automatic in the Creta.
In order to give a balanced value for money proportion, Hyundai has come up with a new Executive variant (E+) with a 1.6-litre petrol engine. It gets features like 5-inch touchscreen audio along with steering audio & Bluetooth controls and tweeters. Besides, the variant also gets sporty roof rails, electrically adjustable ORVM with LED turn indicators & rear AC vents for added convenience.
Moreover, a new shade called Earth Brown, is being offered in the Creta. The SUV currently rivals with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Duster and Honda BR-V
Prices of the new Creta variants (all prices ex-showroom Delhi) Hyundai Creta E+ - Rs 9.99 lakh Hyundai Creta S+ - Rs 13.58 lakh Hyundai Creta SX+ - Rs 12.23 lakh (MT) and Rs 13.76 lakh (AT)
