Puri to do ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with Venky

Actor Venkatesh has recently flagged off two interesting projects one with Krish and another with Puri Jagannadh. We have learnt that the film under Puri’s direction is titled ‘Jana Gana Mana.’ Rings a bell? Yes, the same script that the director conceived with Mahesh Babu in mind.

“I wrote ‘Jana Gana Mana’ for him. It talks about the indiscipline in the society and is one of the best scripts I have written of late. Mahesh said he liked it but I didn’t hear it back from him, leaving me no option but to proceed with other projects of mine,” Puri had said while promoting ‘ISM’ last October. Seems like he took the same subject to Peddodu and impressed him.

Puri with his team of writers is currently fine-tuning the script to ensure that there’s nothing controversial about it and that it suits Venky’s image. “It’s been time since Venky had done a high-voltage actioner and ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is on those lines,” said a source. A final narration of the story would be given to Venky soon.
