It seems that the lines between real and reel-life are blurring for young actor Tanish. The actor who was summoned by SIT for inquiry on July 25 for reportedly being in touch with substance peddler Calvin, will be seen in the role of a drug addict in his upcoming film ‘Nakshatram’ which is slated for release very soon.

The talented actor who played varied lover boy roles, seems to have gone in for a complete make-over going by stills released by the production house. It is also well-known that director Krishna Vamsi is adept in sketching aggressive negative roles in his films.

“Tanish plays a drug addict and his character which has dark shades is quite aggressive and erratic,’ says a source, close to the unit and adds, “Tanish is the son of a VIP in the film and cares-a-damn about social norms.” Perhaps no other actor would have faced such a piquant situation in life, where there is strong similarities with real and reel lives.

“Quite an unfortunate scenario but he is confident of coming out unscathed since he is not into drugs in real-life,’ the source concludes. Actually, Tanish became a sought-after lover boy after hits like ‘Nacchavule,’ `Mem Vayasuki Vachcham’ and ‘Ride’, but lost his way post duds like ‘Kodipunju’ and others.
