Kalyan Ram ‘MLA’ not a political drama
Director Upendra Madhav claimed that his upcoming film \'MLA\' starring Kalyan Ram and Kajal, is not a political drama. \"Going by the title, people would have thought it would have political overtones, but it has nothing to do with politics,\" said the director, who described it as the tale of a youngster.

"It’s a story of a guy who has a great character, like all good qualities rolled into one," he adds. Elaborating further, he adds, "The film has a corporate backdrop and another part happens in the rural zone," he concludes.
Producer Kiran Reddy adds "We tasted success with 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri,' and we are looking forward to the same with our next,'. Actor Kalyan Ram, who played a cop in 'Pataas', has a new mission in this film. The Nandamuri star's last film 'Ism' failed to set the box office on fire, so he should be banking on this action-love story to bounce back into the reckoning.
